Yuni Lia Suharto

Mentor in first-generation students and design

🇮🇩 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
Bandung Community Trust
1982 to 2013
English, Indonesian

I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,090 people through Bandung Community Trust. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Yuni

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.

What gifts mean to Yuni: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
