Yumi Hitomi Nakagawa

35 years teaching geography in Yokohama

  • 🇯🇵 Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan
  • Sakura Technical College
  • 2006 to 2019
  • Japanese
For 13 years I was the geography teacher at Sakura Technical College. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Over the years I had 270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Yumi

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember that terrible school play.

What gifts mean to Yumi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
