Yu Ping Liao

Spanish and home economics teacher, Sacramento

  • 🇺🇸 Sacramento, California, United States
  • Sacramento Girls' School
  • 1997 to 2007
  • English, Mandarin
I taught Spanish at Sacramento Girls' School in Sacramento from 1997 to 2007. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Yu

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Yu: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
