For 44 years I have been the geography teacher at Bakersfield High School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, my door is open at lunch.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
