Yong Zou

Astronomy lecturer, 1987 to 2019

  • 🇺🇸 Birmingham, Alabama, United States
  • Jacaranda State University
  • 1987 to 2019
  • English
I taught astronomy at Jacaranda State University from 1987 to 2019, and supervised 14 dissertations along the way. I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Yong

I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

What gifts mean to Yong: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
