Yonas Dawit Legesse

Choir director and singer

  • 🇪🇹 Hawassa, Sidama, Ethiopia
  • Hawassa Band
  • 2005 to 2023
  • English, Amharic
I'm a musician from Hawassa. I've toured a little, taught a lot and played at more weddings than I can count. I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Yonas

I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
