Yonas Bereket Girma
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Little Gondar Trades Guild
- 1987 to 2017

My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1987 in Gondar and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.

What gifts mean to Yonas: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
