Yolanda S. Benítez
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Old Los Angeles Shop
- Since 2002
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2002. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 550 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 22 years later for another job.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Yolanda: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
