I taught history at Mount Pleasant Primary School in Setagaya from 1999 to 2018. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 680 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Yoko
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Yoko: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me history in 2018 at Mount Pleasant Primary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
