Yohannes Kebede Gebre
Retired chemistry teacher from Mekelle Secondary School
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- Mekelle Secondary School
- 2014 to 2022

I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and eight years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Yohannes
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
