Yodit Worku
Oil painting artist in Jimma
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Old Jimma Art Collective
- Since 1990
- English, Amharic
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes calligraphy. My first show was in 1990 at Old Jimma Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
More about Yodit
I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Yodit: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
