Yodit Almaz Tilahun
Cricket and fitness coach, Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Meadowbank Youth Club
- 1998 to 2008
- English, Amharic
For ten years I ran the cricket program at Meadowbank Youth Club in Gondar. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Yodit
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Yodit: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
