Ylva Sjögren
Special education and geography teacher, Gothenburg
- 🇸🇪 Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden
- Since 1986
- English, Swedish, Spanish
I teach special education at Elmwood Public School in Gothenburg since 1986. Most days I teach Year 10, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,200 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ylva
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
