Yinka Henry Uba
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- The Crescent Works
- 1995 to 2014
- English, Igbo
I'm a baking specialist. If you live around Kano, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Yinka
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Yinka: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
