Yinka Bello Hassan
Swimming and fitness coach, Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Since 1997
- English
For 29 years I've run the swimming program at Unity Football Club in Lagos. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Yinka
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Yinka: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2014. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Muzaffarpur.
