Yewande Ngozika Mba
35 years teaching geography in Wudil
- 🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria
- Andes Public School
- 1978 to 1996
- English, Hausa
For 18 years I was the geography teacher at Andes Public School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Yewande
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
