Yewande Kemi Coker

Boxing coach, Mount Pleasant Football Club

  • 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
  • Mount Pleasant Football Club
  • Since 1985
  • English
I've coached boxing at Mount Pleasant Football Club since 1985. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.

More about Yewande

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Yewande: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
