Yeshi Selamawit Assefa
Woodcarving and glass art artist
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- 2008 to 2018
- English
I'm a woodcarving artist based in Mekelle. I've been making things from 2008 to 2018 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I walk the dog by the river.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Yeshi
I've had 12 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Yeshi: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
