I've worked in bicycle repair from 1987 to 1996. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 460 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
