Yared Lemma Melaku
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- The Westbrook Trades Guild
- 2016 to 2024
- English, Amharic
I've worked in carpentry from 2016 to 2024. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 270 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I watch every football match going.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Yared: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
