Yared Haile Taye
Blacksmithing for twelve years in Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

- Since 2014
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2014. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 220 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Yared: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
