I taught music at Tangier Public School in Tangier from 1985 to 2013. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I never turned anyone away.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
