Yan Yang
Music and economics teacher, San Francisco
- 🇺🇸 San Francisco, California, United States
- Eastgate Academy
- 2000 to 2024
- English, Mandarin
Eastgate Academy was my second home. I taught music there from 2000 to 2024, mostly primary school children.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Yan
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Yan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
