English literature and economics teacher, Springfield
- 🇺🇸 Springfield, Illinois, United States
- Meadowbank High School
- Since 1981
- English, Mandarin
Meadowbank High School is my second home. I teach English literature there since 1981, mostly first-year students.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Yan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Yan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
