Yan Luo
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Fresno, California, United States
- Since 2001
- English, Mandarin
I've coached swimming at Fresno Community Club since 2001. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Yan
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Yan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
