For 28 years I was the mathematics teacher at Enugu Technical College. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Yakubu
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
