Xolani K. Steyn
Tabla player and teacher in Cape Town
- 🇿🇦 Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
- Cape Town Band
- 1996 to 2013
- English, Afrikaans
I play tabla and jazz. I started in 1996 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.
More about Xolani
I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Xolani: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
