Ximena E. Ávila
Farming mentor, La Plata
- 🇦🇷 La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina
- La Plata Community Trust
- 1984 to 2015
- Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,710 people through La Plata Community Trust.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ximena
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Ximena: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
