I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,000 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ximena
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me special education in 2015 at Oakland Grammar School. I still remember the long bus ride home.
