My subject is architecture, and for 19 years I got to share it with undergraduates at Holy Cross College.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I watch every football match going.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Xia
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Xia: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
