Xia Shu Ma
Painter, potter and teacher at Beacon Gallery
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Beacon Gallery
- Since 1989
- English, Mandarin
I work mostly in photography, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1989 at Beacon Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Xia
I've had 12 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

I bought one of your pieces in 1997. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Luxor.
