Wunmi Aisha Aliyu
Musician with Lagos Ensemble
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Since 1999
- English
I play songwriting and traditional drumming. I started in 1999 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 13 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I garden badly but happily.
More about Wunmi
I write my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
