Winnie Irene Odhiambo

Teacher at Mbale Technical College, loves history

  • 🇺🇬 Mbale, Eastern Region, Uganda
  • Mbale Technical College
  • 1984 to 2017
  • English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 33 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term. I'm still learning every day.

More about Winnie

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
