William Nelson
Volunteer mentor with Baton Rouge Youth Network
- 🇺🇸 Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
- Baton Rouge Youth Network
- 2012 to 2020
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 220 people through Baton Rouge Youth Network.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about William
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to William: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
