Willem D. Pillay

Tabla player and teacher in Soweto

  • 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Soweto Ensemble
  • 2007 to 2020
  • English, Zulu
I've played tabla from 2007 to 2020, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach. I take the work seriously, though not myself.

What gifts mean to Willem: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
