Willem D. Dlamini
Woodcarving artist in Soweto

I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1988 at Little Soweto Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
