Willem C. Khumalo
Self-taught photography artist
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Old Pioneer Gallery
- 1984 to 2017
- English
I work mostly in photography, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 1984 at Old Pioneer Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the people on my bus route. I run most mornings.
More about Willem
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Willem: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
