Willem A. Jones
Astronomy lecturer, 2003 to 2022
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Polytechnic
- 2003 to 2022
- English
I taught astronomy at Johannesburg Polytechnic from 2003 to 2022, and supervised 36 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Willem
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
