I've been a nurse for 46 years, most of them in midwifery at Los Angeles General Hospital in Los Angeles. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
