Waweru Victor Bakari
Painter, potter and teacher at Kingsway Gallery
- 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
- Kingsway Gallery
- Since 2007
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in textiles, sometimes graphic design. My first show was in 2007 at Kingsway Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by folk tales I grew up with. I watch every football match going.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

What gifts mean to Waweru: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
