Wawan Wahyu Hakim
Teacher at Bogor Primary School, loves Spanish
- 🇮🇩 Bogor, West Java, Indonesia
- Bogor Primary School
- 1983 to 1998
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 15 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Wawan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Wawan: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me Spanish in 2002 at Bogor Primary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard!

You taught me Spanish in 1997 at Bogor Primary School. I still remember the surprise birthday cake. Truly.
