Wawan Joko Wijaya
Teacher at Jakarta Secondary School, loves biology

I taught biology at Jakarta Secondary School in Jakarta from 2010 to 2023. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Wawan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Wawan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
