Wanjiru Sarah Hamisi
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Old Mombasa Works
- Since 2011
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I've worked in painting and decorating since 2011. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 590 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Wanjiru
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
