Tiling, done properly
- 🇰🇪 Kikuyu, Kiambu, Kenya
- Kikuyu Workshop
- 2006 to 2014
- English
My trade is tiling. I opened my own shop in 2006 in Kikuyu and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Wanjiru
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Wanjiru: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
