Wangari Wanjiru Wafula
Retired biology teacher from Summit Academy
- 🇺🇬 Entebbe, Central Region, Uganda
- Summit Academy
- 1985 to 2003
- English, Swahili
For 18 years I was the biology teacher at Summit Academy. I taught primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 770 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Wangari
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Wangari: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
