Wangari Wanjiru Mutebi
Embroidery and printmaking artist
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Elmwood Print Workshop
- Since 1994
- English
I work mostly in embroidery, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 1994 at Elmwood Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I sing in a choir.
More about Wangari
I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
