For 29 years I have been the special education teacher at Dar es Salaam Secondary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,540 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
