I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 380 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Walter: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
