Walter Gibson
Volunteer mentor with Baobab Association
- 🇺🇸 Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States
- Baobab Association
- Since 1978
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 2,450 people through Baobab Association.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If I mentored you, I hope you're still pushing yourself.

What gifts mean to Walter: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
