I taught environmental science at Heliopolis High School in Heliopolis from 2005 to 2019. Most days I taught teenagers, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 350 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Walid
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
